An 18-year-old suspect with an outstanding homicide warrant, Zyun Jabius Thomas, was apprehended by the City of Coatesville Police Department on June 12, 2024. The arrest came after a thorough investigation into a vehicle crash and subsequent pursuit involving stolen vehicles.

Details of the Incident
Detectives from the Coatesville Police Department spotted Thomas entering a convenience store on East Lincoln Highway. When they approached him, Thomas reportedly resisted arrest and made an attempt to escape. However, law enforcement officers were able to swiftly capture him.
Thomas is accused of stealing multiple vehicles from the Jeff D’Ambrosia Dealership in West Caln Township on June 4, 2024. One of the stolen vehicles was involved in a crash, resulting in significant damage to city property and a building.
Charges Against Thomas
Thomas is facing a range of charges, including three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest. Additionally, he had an active homicide warrant from Shreveport, Louisiana, dating back to 2023.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings
Leading the investigation was Detective Carmen Mollichella of the Coatesville Police Department, with support from the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. Currently, Thomas is being held in the Chester County Prison as legal proceedings unfold.
