More Charges Filed in Connection with Idlewild Shooting

In a recent development, the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office has charged two more individuals in connection with the tragic shooting murder of Rashad Hawkins on May 25. The new suspects, Lee Sherman Williams and Naikita Nicole Dukes, both residents of Idlewild, are facing charges of being accessories after the fact to a felony, specifically open murder. Tragically, Hawkins was pronounced dead at the scene. Marquavis Darnelle Cager, the initial suspect, was also found at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Lee Sherman Williams, a 41-year-old man from Idlewild, was taken into custody for resisting and obstructing while deputies were investigating the shooting.
