Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Six Family Members in Shangla

A devastating accident in the Bar Batkot area of Bisham tehsil in Shangla district has left a community in mourning. Six members of a family tragically lost their lives when the mini jeep they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge on Monday night. Iqbal Rawan, a resident of Bar Batkot, was returning home with his family from Maira when the accident occurred. The impact of the fall resulted in the immediate deaths of Iqbal and five women, while three others sustained injuries.

Rescue Efforts Amid Challenging Terrain

The remote mountainous village where the accident took place presented challenges for rescue efforts. With poor road conditions and limited mobile phone connectivity, local residents came together to retrieve the bodies and assist the injured. The victims were rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Bisham, with the injured later transferred to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad in critical condition. The deceased, identified as Iqbal Rawan, Tasvisa, Namriqa, Naza Bibi, Jan Zari, and Muslima Bibi, have left a void in their community.

Tragedy Strikes Again in Matta Tehsil

In a separate incident, a rickshaw carrying a family from Buner district overturned in Narkat area of Matta tehsil, claiming the lives of four individuals. The family had travelled to Bagh Dherai to offer condolences and were on their way to a relative’s home when the rickshaw lost control and fell into a ditch. The victims, including Socha, Sajidullah, Bakhtzada, and Shakirullah, all residents of Buner, were fatally injured in the accident. Several others, including a woman and young children, sustained serious injuries and were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Collision Leads to Tragic Loss in Dera Ismail Khan

Meanwhile, a collision between a van and a mini-truck on the Dera-Daraban Road in Dera Ismail Khan claimed the life of a Levies man, Bashir Sherani. The van, en route from Daraban to Dera Ismail Khan, collided with the mini-truck near Kulachi Mor, resulting in the tragic loss of Bashir Sherani. The injured individuals were swiftly taken to Mufti Mehmood Hospital for medical attention.
