Crackdown on Drug Dealing in N1 Postcode Area Leads to Eight Sentences

In a recent operation led by Met officers in the N1 postcode area, eight individuals have been sentenced for their involvement in gang-related drug supply offences. The crackdown comes as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug dealing and street gangs in the area.

Met Officer’s Determination to Combat Drug Dealing

Detective Inspector Zara Baker, who oversees policing in Camden and Islington, emphasized the commitment of her team to combat illegal drug activities. She stated, “Anyone who seeks to profit from the misery caused by illegal drugs will face consequences. Our aim is to bring justice to those involved in drug dealing, reduce harm to drug users, prevent serious violence, and protect vulnerable young people at risk of being drawn into criminal activities.”

Arrests and Raids Uncover Extensive Drug Operation

During the operation, Louis Lillington, Jack Ashby, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for dealing crack cocaine and heroin. Further investigations revealed a larger drugs line operating in the N1 postcode area of Islington. Coordinated dawn raids on 11 addresses led to the discovery of large quantities of Class A and Class B drugs, along with cash and paraphernalia related to drug supply.

Sentences Handed Down

Seven individuals pleaded guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court, while Colin Hylton was found guilty after a trial. Chris Moran, Terell Prescott, Shaquille Allen, Colin Hylton, Shermant Sheraji, Aaron Connor, Jack Ashby, and Louis Lillington were all sentenced to prison terms ranging from 22 months to over 7 years.
