The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir recently conducted a raid at a residential house in Srinagar in connection with the case of the killing of four policemen in Hygam Sopore back in 2013. The raid took place at the residence of Ahmudullah Malla, son of Abdul Ahad, located at Dalal Mohalla, Nawa Bazar in Srinagar.

According to a top official, the searches were carried out under FIR no 42 of 2013, which was initially registered at the police station Tarzoo Sopore and later transferred to SIA Kashmir for further investigations. The SIA obtained search warrants from the Special Court to conduct the raid at the specified location.

The police party from Churu, Sopore, was on their way to the area in a Rakshak vehicle when terrorists, lying in ambush, attacked near Peer Mohalla around 5:25 in the afternoon.

The brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty were identified as constables Abd-ur-Rahim from Tulla Mulla, Gandarbal, and Muddassir Ahmad from Noor Bagh, Srinagar. Additionally, special police officers (SPOs) Gulshan Ahmad from Kanispora, Baramulla, and Muddassir Ahmad Parray from Kreeri, Baramulla, also lost their lives in the attack.
