An HSC examinee, Sheikh Muhammad Emon, tragically lost his life in a road accident on the Chattogram-Kaptai regional highway in Raozan upazila of Chattogram. The incident occurred when a bus collided with the motorcycle he was riding with another student, Muhammad Samir, who sustained injuries in the crash.

Victim identified as Promising Student
Sheikh Muhammad Emon, aged 20, was a promising student preparing to sit for his HSC exams this year from Kuaish Sheikh Muhammad Degree College in Hathazari of Chattogram. The son of Sheikh Jhaangir Alam of Mogdai village under Paschim Gujara union, Emon’s untimely demise has left his family and community in shock.
Details of the Tragic Accident
According to eyewitnesses and Muhammad Arif, a sub-inspector of Raozan Police Station, Emon and Samir were on their way to Kaptai when the bus belonging to Hanif Paribahan collided with their motorcycle in the Ganga Mondir area under Bagowan union around 1:30 pm. The impact of the crash resulted in Emon losing his life on the spot, while Samir was rushed to a private hospital in Noapara for medical treatment.
Efforts to Save the Victims
Despite the swift actions of locals who immediately took the injured students to the hospital, Emon could not be saved. The doctors at the private hospital pronounced him dead upon arrival, while Samir was later transferred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
