In a shocking turn of events, a 59-year-old convict in the 1993 Bombay serial blasts case, known by various aliases including Mohammad Alikhan and Manojkumar Bhawarlal Gupta, was brutally thrashed to death by five inmates in Kolhapur’s Kalamba Central Jail. Motive Behind the Attack
Swati Sathe, DIG (Prisons), stated that the motive behind the fatal assault was yet to be ascertained. However, preliminary investigations revealed a long-standing animosity between the attackers and Munna. There are four other Bombay blasts convicts in Kalamba jail, and for their safety, they will be separated from regular inmates. If necessary, they will be transferred to other prisons to prevent further violence.
Munna’s Criminal Background
