A search ensued, involving helicopters from both the Omaha Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol. Eventually, information led law enforcement to Washington County, where a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ensued. Davenport and Banks fled on foot, seeking refuge in a semi cab.
Standoff and Resolution
During a standoff, Davenport brandished a firearm and ignored commands to surrender, resulting in officers firing shots. Banks, on the other hand, surrendered and was taken into custody with non-life-threatening injuries. Davenport was eventually apprehended with the help of specialized equipment.
