In a disturbing turn of events, 34-year-old Bryan Morales Gracia from Pennsylvania has been accused of beating an 18-month-old child and causing the death of a small Chihuahua. The shocking incident took place at the Evergreen Manors apartment complex, located about 100 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Witnesses Report Horrific Abuse
The Altoona Police Department received a call around 10:57 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, reporting an adult male assaulting a small child. Witnesses at the scene claimed to have seen Gracia physically abusing the toddler through a window in the apartment. The witness observed Gracia holding the child and repeatedly striking them before throwing the child into a Pack-n-Play.
Child Sustains Injuries, Chihuahua Fatally Wounded
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found the toddler with visible injuries, including red marks on the cheeks, back, and forehead. The child was immediately transported to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Altoona for treatment. Tragically, a dead Chihuahua was also discovered inside the apartment, having succumbed to injuries sustained during the assault on the child.
Gracia’s Shocking Explanation
During an interview with the police, Gracia claimed that he struck the child because they were hitting the dog. He stated that he accidentally placed the toddler on top of the Chihuahua when he placed them in the Pack-n-Play together, as they often do. Gracia was reportedly holding the lifeless dog in his arms while speaking to the authorities.
