Tragic Accident in Nanded Leaves One Dead and Two Injured

A tragic incident unfolded in Nanded district as a tractor and its trolley turned turtle in the Rajwadi River near Pardi Vaijapur in Mudkhed taluka. The accident resulted in the death of a minor boy, Tejas Ashok Shinde (15), while two others, Rameshwar Maroti Sable (17) and Balaji Maroti Shinde (18), sustained serious injuries. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Vishnupuri.

Details of the Accident

The mishap occurred on Monday morning when a group of people from Pardi Vaijapur was travelling to Mudkhed in a tractor with a trolley. Tragedy struck as the trolley and tractor fell into the river from the overbridge. Local residents immediately informed the authorities and initiated a rescue operation. The injured individuals were rescued using a JCB machine.

Bridge Safety Concerns

This particular bridge has been a cause for concern, as it has been the site of multiple accidents in recent times. Just days ago, a Jeep plunged into the river from the same bridge, resulting in loss of lives. Residents have pointed out that the sharp turn on the bridge makes it a dangerous spot for travellers.

In another heartbreaking incident, three individuals lost their lives in the Painganga River at Morgaon in Kinwat taluka. Mamta Shaikh Javed (21), Payal Devidas Kamble (16), and Swati Devidas Kamble (13) tragically drowned while on a picnic with their family members.

The Kamble family had ventured out for a picnic at Morgaon in Kinwat taluka when the unfortunate incident occurred. Despite efforts to save them, Mamta, Payal, and Swati could not be rescued in time. The authorities, including the Kinwat police station personnel, rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies from the river with the help of local residents.

Investigations and Post-Mortem

Following the recovery of the bodies, they were transported to the sub-district government hospital at Gokunda for post-mortem examinations. The authorities ensured that the bodies were then handed over to the grieving relatives for final rites.
