IRS Officer Arrested for Murder of Woman in Noida
In a shocking turn of events, the Noida police have arrested an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer on charges of murder after the body of his woman friend was discovered at his rented accommodation in Sector 100. The accused, identified as Saurabh Meena, 35, hails from Rajasthan and is currently residing in the Lotus Boulevard Society, where the woman’s body was found.

Details of the Incident
The police were alerted on Saturday around 4 pm about a woman, also 35 years old, who was reported to have died by suicide at a high-rise building. Upon reaching the scene, it was revealed that Meena, along with the society guards, had broken the door to the apartment.
According to Additional DCP Manish Kumar Mishra, “The accused Saurabh has been taken into custody and remanded to judicial custody. The family members of the deceased have alleged his involvement in the incident, leading to the registration of an FIR under Section 302 (murder). Further action will be determined based on the findings of the post-mortem report.”
Relationship Between the Accused and the Deceased
Investigations have unveiled that Meena and the woman had met through a dating app approximately three years ago. However, their relationship had reportedly soured in recent months, culminating in a tragic incident following an argument.
An official disclosed, “The woman was employed as a deputy HR manager at a government institution, while the accused holds the position of deputy commissioner of the IRS on deputation in Delhi.”
