The crash took place when a 2023 Toyota Tacoma crossed the center line of the roadway and collided head-on with a 1992 Honda Accord. The drivers of both vehicles, as well as a passenger in the Honda, sustained injuries in the accident.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as 54-year-old Terry D. Forrest of Piedmont, was taken to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center to receive treatment for moderate injuries.
