According to Sub-Inspector P. Manoj Kumar of Pedabayalu police station, Venugopal had travelled to Darela Panchayat to attend a wedding on May 25. In the evening, he and his friends ventured to Tarabu waterfalls to enjoy the natural beauty and take some photographs. However, tragedy struck when Venugopal suddenly went missing, leaving his friends in a state of panic.
Despite frantic search efforts by his companions, there was no sign of Venugopal. Fearing the worst, they immediately informed the authorities and a police complaint was lodged.
