A horrific tragedy has struck the Evbomore community in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State, as a 32-year-old man, identified as Etionsa Aiguokun, has been accused of committing a heinous crime. Reports indicate that the young man allegedly killed his 74-year-old father, Mr. Aiguokun, and his stepmother, Roseline, using a pestle as the weapon of choice.

The disturbing incident unfolded last Wednesday when a heated argument between the suspect and his father escalated into a physical altercation. In a fit of rage, Etionsa Aiguokun reportedly grabbed a pestle from the kitchen and viciously attacked his father, striking him on the head in the family’s living room. When his stepmother rushed to intervene upon hearing the commotion, she too fell victim to the violent assault, suffering fatal blows to her head from the same pestle.
