In a shocking turn of events, a 32-year-old man named Etionsa Aiguokun has been accused of committing a heinous crime in Evbomore community, located in the Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State. The man allegedly k!lled his own father, Mr. Aiguokun, and stepmother, Roseline, using a pestle as the weapon of choice.

Altercation Leads to Tragic Outcome
Reports indicate that the incident took place last Wednesday, following a heated argument between the suspect and his father. The argument quickly escalated, resulting in a physical confrontation. In a fit of rage, the suspect grabbed a pestle from the kitchen and violently attacked his father, striking him on the head in the family’s living room.
Stepmother Comes to the Rescue
Upon hearing the commotion, the stepmother rushed to the scene to intervene and help her husband. Tragically, she too fell victim to the suspect’s violent actions, as he turned the pestle on her, inflicting fatal injuries. The elderly couple succumbed to their wounds on the spot, leaving a trail of devastation in their wake.
Attempts to Cover Up the Crime
In a chilling display of callousness, the suspect reportedly dragged the lifeless bodies of his parents to the back of the house and concealed them beside a septic tank, disguising the crime scene with weeds. He then proceeded to clean up the bloodstains inside the house, attempting to erase any traces of the horrific incident. Furthermore, he shamelessly sold his late father’s mobile phone for a mere N25,000 at a local market in Benin city.
Discovery of the Gruesome Act
The true extent of the tragedy came to light when the other children of the deceased returned home and discovered their parents missing. Concerned for their welfare, they initiated a search, enlisting the help of the suspect in their efforts. However, suspicions arose when the bodies were eventually found hidden at the rear of the property, prompting a report to the Ugbowo Division of the Police.
