In a shocking turn of events, two Special Armed Force personnel lost their lives under mysterious circumstances in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Head constable Dhaniram Uike, 55, and constable Premlal Kakodia, 54, were the unfortunate victims of this tragic incident.

The Events Leading to the Tragedy
According to reports, the two personnel had consumed beer after completing their duty on a Saturday night. Shortly after drinking the beer, they fell violently ill, leading to suspicion of poisoning by the local police. Along with the beer cans, a suspicious powder was discovered at the scene, adding to the mystery surrounding their deaths.
Premlal Kakodia, who was on duty as a guard at the SAF unit commander’s bungalow from 8 pm to midnight, joined Dhaniram Uike in consuming the beer around 9 pm. They sat outside the bungalow on benches, enjoying their drinks before both falling ill. Dhaniram was rushed to the hospital by his family, who believed he was suffering from a heart attack. Tragically, he passed away on the way to the hospital.
The Investigation and Autopsy Findings
Meanwhile, Premlal was admitted to another hospital, where he regained consciousness in the early hours of Sunday. His statement, recorded as a dying declaration, shed light on the sequence of events that led to the deaths of both personnel. The Chhindwara SP, Manish Khatri, confirmed that the initial investigation pointed towards suspected poisoning.
The police discovered two beer cans from the April 2024 batch, along with two steel glasses and a packet containing an unknown powder in Dhaniram’s scooter. Premlal’s statement indicated that both men had consumed the beer, with no third party present at the scene. The authorities have initiated a detailed probe into the incident, registering two separate cases of unnatural death.

Next Steps in the Investigation
As part of the investigation, samples including stomach washes from both victims, the beer cans, glasses, the suspicious powder, and other belongings have been collected for laboratory testing.
