Tragic Fire Claims Three Lives in East Delhi
A devastating fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in Krishna Nagar, East Delhi, claiming the lives of three individuals. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, left the community in shock and mourning.

Victims of the Fire
Among the deceased were 66-year-old Parmila Shad, 18-year-old Keshav Sharma, and 34-year-old Anju Sharma. Parmila Shad’s charred body was discovered on the first floor of the building, while Keshav Sharma and Anju Sharma were declared brought dead by medical professionals.
Statement from Chief of Delhi Fire Services
Atul Garg, Chief of Delhi Fire Services, provided details of the tragic incident. The fire, which originated in 11 two-wheelers in the stilt parking of the house, quickly spread to the first floor of the building. Despite the efforts of firefighters, the flames were not extinguished until 7.20 am.
Rescue Efforts and Casualties
Twelve individuals were rescued from the upper floors of the building and transported to various hospitals for treatment. Unfortunately, two individuals succumbed to their injuries at GTB Hospital, while another was in critical condition and referred to Max hospital. The fire also destroyed 11 vehicles at the scene.
Previous Incident
This tragic fire incident came on the heels of another devastating event in the city. Just the day before, a massive fire at a children’s hospital in Vivek Vihar claimed the lives of seven newborns. The back-to-back tragedies have left the residents of Delhi reeling.
