Omaha police rushed to the scene near Carter Lake after receiving a 911 call from a distraught mother reporting that her daughter had been shot just after midnight. Upon arrival, officers found blood and shell casings on the ground, indicating a violent altercation had taken place. Two juveniles were quickly transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
