A routine traffic stop on I-20 in Haralson County took a dangerous turn earlier this week when a deputy spotted a driver tailgating a tractor-trailer. The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Bryan Shaque Steele of Greenville, Alabama, began zigzagging between cars when he saw the deputy.

**Arrest and Discovery**

The deputy pulled over Steele, but when he refused to exit the vehicle as instructed, the deputy took matters into his own hands. He reached inside the car, unlocked it, opened the door, and physically removed Steele from the vehicle.

During the arrest for obstruction, Steele’s behaviour raised suspicions that there may be contraband in the car. A search revealed two guns hidden under the driver’s seat, one of which was reported stolen in Louisiana. Additionally, seven bags of MDMA, a popular party drug also known as ecstasy, were found in the car, totaling a substantial 232 grams – enough to qualify as trafficking.
