Dale was born on October 15, 1965, in Glendora, California, to the late John and Mary Melvey. He grew up in the community and attended Glendora High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. Dale was known for his kind and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

After graduating from high school, Dale went on to pursue a career in business, eventually becoming a successful entrepreneur in the Glendora area. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and peers.
In his free time, Dale enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his wife of 20 years, Sarah, and their two children, Emily and Michael. He was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family first and cherishing every moment spent with them.
Dale was also an avid sports fan, particularly of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers. He loved attending games with his friends and family, cheering on his favorite teams with passion and enthusiasm.

A memorial service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at St. Mary’s Church in Glendora. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Brain Tumor Association in Dale’s memory.
