In a shocking turn of events on May 19, 2024, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a discharge of a firearm complaint in West Monroe, La. The incident involved a male victim who was reportedly robbed after meeting a female subject online, later identified as 19-year-old Makieja A. Vallaire.

### The Alleged Robbery

According to court documents, the victim had met Vallaire online a few days before the incident and had planned to meet in person on May 17, 2024. However, the meeting did not go as planned, and the victim was contacted by Vallaire on May 18, 2024, who introduced her 16-year-old female friend to the victim.

The victim met Vallaire’s friend at his home, where he observed Vallaire, another female subject, and one male subject exiting the friend’s vehicle. The male subject allegedly produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. A scuffle ensued, leading to the discharge of the firearm.

### The Aftermath

After the suspects fled the scene, three of them later returned and asked the victim for help getting their vehicle out of the mud. The victim requested his wallet back, which was returned shortly before authorities arrived at the scene. It was revealed that the suspects had driven from Arcadia, La. to Monroe, La. for the alleged incident.

### Further Investigations

Before the incident, Vallaire’s 16-year-old friend was told by Vallaire that the victim wanted to engage in sexual activity with the minor in exchange for money. The friend claimed that the victim was going to give them $60 for sexual favors. Shots were fired during the incident, and the suspect vehicle got stuck in the mud while attempting to flee.

During the investigation, it was confirmed that a similar robbery had occurred on May 17, 2024, and Vallaire was identified as a suspect in that case as well. McCune was also identified as a suspect in other robbery cases in Ouachita Parish.
