The Suspects
The suspects, identified as 22-year-old Jairo Velasquez-Lopez, 20-year-old Giovany Perdomo (also known as Pero), and 32-year-old Nixon Marquez-Martinez, were apprehended at different locations across Austin. Velasquez-Lopez, believed to be the getaway driver, was arrested on May 9, while Perdomo, the alleged shooter, was apprehended on May 13. Marquez-Martinez, suspected of ordering the murder, was taken into custody on May 14. It is worth noting that Marquez-Martinez also had an additional administrative warrant with the Department of Homeland Security.

Following their arrests, all three men were transported and booked into the Travis County Jail. The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has confirmed that they are Honduran immigrants. This case marks the 18th homicide investigation in Austin this year, according to the Austin Police Department.
