In a recent development, the district court has issued an order for the establishment of a medical board to assess the injuries sustained by a man who was involved in a tragic accident on the airport road in Chandigarh. The man, identified as Aman Ehsan, was admitted to a private hospital for treatment following the incident.
**Details of the Incident**
The incident took place on May 9 when a speeding Skoda Laura car, travelling from the Mullanpur side, allegedly collided with 65-year-old Ajmer Singh Sagar who was riding an Activa scooter. The car then went on to hit an electric pole, causing one of the occupants, Joban Sandhu, to fall out of the vehicle and tragically lose his life.
The driver of the car was identified as Aman Ehsan, with another occupant named Ambrose Marcus. Following the accident, the Kharar (sadar) police registered a case under sections 304 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code based on a complaint filed by Ajmer Singh’s son, Harpreet Singh.

**Legal Proceedings**
Aman Ehsan was presented in the court of judicial magistrate in Kharar on May 10, where a request for his judicial remand was made. Aman, who was reportedly injured and in a wheelchair, required medical attention. His counsel requested that he be treated at Apolo Clinics in Chandigarh, with the assurance that the treatment expenses would be covered by the accused’s father.
The court granted the request and ordered that Aman be placed in judicial custody after receiving medical treatment, thereby extending his remand until May 24.
