Three Arrested for Home Depot Thefts in Southern California

In a recent turn of events, three individuals have been arrested in connection with a series of thefts targeting Home Depot stores in Southern California. The suspects, who are all residents of Los Angeles, have been identified as Christopher William Guerrero, 27, Carlos Enrique Gonzales-Moreno, 28, and David Chala, 29.

Incident Details

The arrests came after deputies responded to a “theft in progress” at a Home Depot located in the 2700 block of Teller Road in Thousand Oaks on May 16. Store security reported that four suspects had taken electrical components and placed the items into two shopping carts before fleeing the store without paying. Deputies were able to track down three of the suspects shortly after the incident, while the fourth suspect managed to escape and is currently at large.

Stolen Merchandise Recovered

During the arrest, several thousand dollars worth of stolen merchandise was recovered. Authorities believe that the group is responsible for stealing nearly $20,000 worth of items from Home Depot stores across Ventura County, including locations in Oxnard, Camarillo, and Thousand Oaks.

Legal Consequences

All three suspects have been arrested on felony charges related to organized retail theft. They are currently being held in lieu of $5,000 bail each, with a court hearing scheduled for May 30.
