Authorities Identify Man Found Floating in Brookline Reservoir
Authorities in Brookline, Mass., have identified the man whose body was discovered floating in the Brookline Reservoir earlier this week. The victim has been named as 66-year-old Tim Byrne, a resident of Brookline.

Discovery of the Body
The discovery was made after officers responded to a report of a body in the water on the Dudley Street side of the reservoir at Dudley Way around 5:40 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, the officers pulled the person to shore and began CPR in an attempt to revive him. Unfortunately, Byrne was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital.
No Signs of Foul Play
According to the Brookline Police Department, there is no indication of anything suspicious associated with Byrne’s death. This was confirmed by a police spokesperson who spoke to Boston 25 News. Despite this, investigators were seen photographing items such as a golf bag, clothing on a bench, and a nearby parked car after Byrne’s body was recovered from the water.
