Tragic Incident at Under-Construction Building in Dhaka
In a devastating turn of events, three construction workers tragically lost their lives after falling from a 10-storey under-construction building in Dhaka. This heartbreaking incident took place on Friday (May 17) in the Sabujbagh area, leaving the entire community in shock and mourning.

Identification of the Deceased
The three workers who lost their lives in this terrible accident have been identified as Altafur Rahman, aged 40, Ontor, aged 25, and Mofizul Islam. These hardworking individuals were dedicated to their jobs at the under-construction building located beside the Mayakanon Jamiatul Masjid in Sabujbagh.
Details of the Incident
According to Sabujbagh police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Praloy Kumar Saha, the workers were diligently carrying out their tasks when suddenly they fell from a height, causing the makeshift shed beneath them to break. The locals in the vicinity rushed to their aid and swiftly transported them to Mugda General Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Medical Outcome
Tragically, Altafur and Ontor succumbed to their injuries upon arrival at the hospital. Mofizul, on the other hand, was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he fought bravely for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Sadly, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Mofizul also passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
