A 16-year-old boy named Ygor Correia tragically lost his life during a large house party in Northborough, Massachusetts, over the weekend. The incident occurred at a home on Howard Street in the early hours of Sunday morning. Ygor, a resident of Bellingham, was shot amidst the chaos of the event.

police were already on the scene responding to reports of someone brandishing a gun when the tragic shooting took place. Despite their efforts to rush Ygor to an ambulance, he was pronounced dead at UMass Memorial. Another 17-year-old was also shot, and two more individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the violent altercation.

The house party was meant to celebrate a woman’s 21st birthday, but it quickly turned into a scene of horror. A concerned individual flagged down a Northborough police officer around 1 a.m. to report the presence of a firearm at the gathering. As more officers arrived at the location, gunshots were heard, leading to the discovery of the two injured teens.
Ygor Correia was carried down a hill from the property to an awaiting ambulance, but tragically, he could not be saved. The injured 17-year-old and two other party attendees were taken to Marlborough Hospital for treatment of their wounds. Several other partygoers who sustained injuries opted not to seek medical assistance.
Neighbors in the area expressed shock at the violent turn of events, as the neighborhood had been generally quiet until that night. Investigators revealed that the homeowner had been warned in advance not to host the party, raising questions about potential legal repercussions.

Individuals Facing Charges
Following the shooting, three individuals have been charged with weapons offences in connection to the incident. Wallisom Texeira Da Silva, Arnoldo Nogueira Filho, and Pedro Desouza-Passos were arraigned on firearms charges at Westborough District Court. Texeira Da Silva was remanded without bail, while Nogueira and Desouza-Passos were held on cash bail.
The criminal complaints against the suspects detailed the discovery of ammunition in two black purses found in their vehicle. Texeira Da Silva claimed ownership of one of the bags, which contained a Brazilian passport and a 9mm bullet. A gun, lacking a serial number, was also found at the party location, with Texeira Da Silva allegedly claiming it as his own.
All three men are scheduled to appear in court on May 20, with their lawyers raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop and search of the vehicle. The tragic loss of Ygor Correia has left a community in mourning, with investigations ongoing to bring justice for the senseless act of violence.
