News has emerged from Winnipeg regarding a heartbreaking incident that took place in the early hours of May 12, 2024. At around 2:20 a.m., the Winnipeg police Service received a distressing call about an injured male in the vicinity of Portage Avenue and Arlington Street.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the male lying on the ground, critically injured. They wasted no time in administering life-saving measures, including applying a chest seal and performing compressions. Despite their efforts, the male’s condition continued to deteriorate.
Tragically, the male, identified as 46-year-old Jack Jacques KABLUITOK, hailing from Rankin Inlet Nunavut and currently residing in Winnipeg, could not be saved. He was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital, leaving his loved ones and the community in shock and grief.
