Tragic Accident in Severn, Maryland

A devastating high-speed pursuit in Severn, Maryland, resulted in a fatal accident early Monday morning. The incident unfolded when a patrol officer spotted a speeding vehicle on Annapolis Road near Reece Road and attempted to pull it over. Unfortunately, the driver decided to flee, leading to a tragic turn of events that ended in disaster.

Details of the Crash

The vehicle involved in the pursuit was identified as a Lexus IS 350, driven by 26-year-old Trayquan Edward Mckesson of Odenton. Along with Mckesson, there were four passengers in the car at the time of the crash. The vehicle was travelling at a high speed on Jessup Road when it failed to navigate a curve, causing it to leave the roadway and collide with a vacant house.

Injuries and Casualties

Following the crash, Mckesson and the passengers were rushed to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment. Tragically, one of the passengers, identified as Julie Michelle Nushawg, 26, of Pasadena, succumbed to her injuries at the trauma center. The remaining passengers, Diamond Shanae Cole, Jayla Scotlin Smith, Dominik Lee Maddox, and De’Andre Lewis-Queen, are all currently in serious condition.
