Bhagyam, 65, Murdered Outside Her Ennore Home
In a tragic incident that shook the residents of Ennore, a 65-year-old woman named Bhagyam was brutally murdered by three men outside her home on Monday evening. The incident took place in Sathyavani Muthu Nagar, where Bhagyam resided with her husband, Ayyavu.

Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, Bhagyam was sitting outside her home around 7.30pm when three men on a motorcycle approached her. They inquired about her grandson, Mahesh, whom they claimed to be searching for. When Bhagyam refused to disclose his whereabouts, one of the men pulled out a sharp weapon and struck her on the head. Despite her cries for help, the assailants fled the scene.
Neighbours rushed Bhagyam to a nearby private hospital before transferring her to Government Stanley Hospital for further treatment. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The Ennore police swiftly launched an investigation into the murder and were able to apprehend two suspects, identified as Ajay and Vikram. Through CCTV footage and local intelligence, the police were able to track down the assailants.
Further inquiries revealed a possible motive for the attack. Earlier in March, Bhagyam’s grandson, Mahesh, along with his friends Vignesh and Santosh Kumar, had been involved in an altercation with a local resident named Jeevaraj. The trio was arrested by the Ennore police but had recently been released on bail. Seeking retribution, Jeevaraj, Ajay, and Vikram set out to confront Mahesh and his associates.

When they were unable to locate Vignesh, the gang approached Bhagyam for information. When she refused to divulge details about her grandson’s whereabouts, they launched a vicious attack on her.
While Ajay and Vikram are now in police custody, a special team has been assembled to locate and apprehend Jeevaraj, who is currently on the run.
