Tragic Crash Claims Lives of Two Women in Central Minnesota

Two women tragically lost their lives in a devastating crash involving a UTV and a pickup truck in central Minnesota’s Benton County over the weekend. The incident took place at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Saturday in the 9600 block of Ronneby Road Northeast in Maywood Township, as reported by Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck.

The sheriff’s office revealed that the utility task vehicle was traveling southbound, while the pickup truck was heading northbound on Ronneby when the two vehicles collided near the centerline of the highway. The aftermath of the collision left a 2011 Chevy Silverado in the east ditch of Ronneby, next to a UTV that had caught fire. Brave witnesses had already pulled the two women from the burning UTV, but sadly, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Victims Identified

The driver of the UTV was identified as Jamie Lea Jendro, a 44-year-old resident of Princeton. Jamie was described as a loving mother and dedicated member of her community. Her passenger in the UTV was identified as Lindsay Erin Karsky, a 34-year-old from Oak Park. Lindsay was known for her infectious smile and kind heart, touching the lives of all who knew her.

The driver of the pickup truck, Todd Lee Henke, aged 57 and hailing from Foley, sustained minor injuries during the crash and while attempting to help the victims in the UTV. Todd’s quick thinking and bravery in the face of such a tragic situation are commendable.

According to witnesses at the scene, prior to the crash, the UTV had been observed driving down the middle of the road at high speeds.
