The man responsible for the tragic stabbing incident at Sydney’s Westfield Bondi Junction has been identified as 40-year-old Joel Cauchi from Queensland. police have revealed that Cauchi previously lived in the Brisbane area before coming to NSW about a month ago and taking possession of a storage facility in Sydney.

Cauchi, who was seen wearing a Kangaroos outfit during the attack, targeted at least 18 people at the busy shopping centre on a Saturday afternoon. The victims of the attack include four women believed to be aged between 20 and 55, a man in his 30s, and Sydney mother Ash Good, 38, who tragically lost her life while trying to protect her baby. Another victim, 25-year-old Dawn Singleton, the daughter of millionaire businessman John Singleton, was also identified among those who lost their lives.
