According to Lt. Eric Thornton of the El Cajon Police Department, the two men entered the store and proceeded to remove anti-theft tags from various items, with a combined value estimated at $909. Once they had the merchandise in their possession, the duo made their way to a waiting truck driven by the female accomplice.

The suspects did not get far, however, as law enforcement officers were able to track them down less than a mile from the store. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered all the stolen items, along with burglary tools. Additionally, one of the men was found to be carrying a concealed knife.

Further Investigations

Further investigation revealed that both men had in their possession a list of personal identification information belonging to other individuals, including social security numbers, credit card details, and IDs. This discovery raised concerns about potential identity theft activities.

The female suspect was also found to be in possession of multiple bags containing drugs, as well as a sum of cash. The trio was promptly arrested and taken into custody for their involvement in the crime.
