A Fight for Survival

Despite her age and the severity of the situation, Jenneiahn refused to be a helpless victim. She managed to drag the chair she was shackled to into her bedroom, where she retrieved a revolver she had hidden under her pillow. With incredible bravery, she shot Condon twice when he threatened to kill her after discovering her disabled son, David, in the house.

A Tragic Turn

In a desperate attempt to defend herself and her son, Jenneiahn engaged in a shootout with Condon. Although she managed to mortally wound the intruder, she was shot multiple times in the process. Bleeding profusely, she lay on the floor for hours until David found her and helped her call 911 for assistance.

An Act of Heroism

The Bingham County district attorney, Ryan Jolley, hailed Jenneiahn’s actions as one of the most heroic acts of self-preservation he had ever seen. He described the incident as a clear case of self-defense and justifiable homicide, praising the elderly woman for her quick thinking and courage in the face of danger.

Condon’s Criminal Past

Investigations revealed that Condon knew Jenneiahn from a pawn shop and a gun range where she was involved. Despite serving in the US Marines and not having a prior criminal record, Condon had recently faced personal struggles that led to his violent actions that fateful night. If he had survived, he would have been charged with felony attempted murder, kidnapping, aggravated battery, and grand theft.
