Nancy Stinnett : “Kansas City Homes Targeted in 2 Fatal Shootings: Police Alert”

Tragic Loss of 58-Year-Old Nancy Stinnett

The Kansas City police Department is currently investigating two separate homicides that occurred this week, both involving victims who were killed by gunfire inside their homes. One of the victims, 58-year-old Nancy Stinnett, was tragically found unresponsive inside a home on the 3000 block of East 32nd Street in Kansas City’s Santa Fe neighborhood on Tuesday evening. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities reported that bullets from outside the home struck Stinnett, leading them to believe that the shooting was not accidental. Captain Jake Becchina, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department, stated that there is currently no suspect information released in connection to the incident.

Heartbreaking Loss of 11-Year-Old Kourtney Freeman

The second shooting occurred about a mile west of the first incident on the 3300 block of Flora Avenue in the Linwood Homeowners-Ivanhoe neighborhood on Wednesday evening. In this heartbreaking case, 11-year-old Kourtney Freeman was found unresponsive inside a home after being struck by gunfire from outside. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was sadly declared dead.

Similarly to the first shooting, police believe that the suspects intended to shoot at the home where Freeman was tragically struck. No suspect information has been released in connection to this incident as well.

Seeking Justice

Captain Jake Becchina emphasized that there is no indication of any connection between the two shootings, but authorities are actively investigating both cases. Police are urging anyone with information about either incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
