Arrest of James Alan Webb
During the investigation, officers observed a resident of the home leaving the area in a stolen vehicle. The driver, identified as 42-year-old James Alan Webb, was promptly stopped and arrested. Upon searching the vehicle, the police discovered four ounces of suspected illicit drugs, believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
Search warrant and further discoveries
Following Webb’s arrest, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at the residence. Inside, investigators uncovered additional illicit drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin. Shockingly, they also found over 1,700 M-ELSON (morphine) pills. Cpl. Jennifer Cooper emphasized that due to the nature of the discovery, it is unclear whether the morphine pills originated from a safer supply or other prescriptions.
Seizure of weapons
In a significant development, the police officers also seized a large quantity of ammunition and a firearm from the residence. The presence of these weapons further underscores the seriousness of the situation and the potential dangers associated with drug trafficking.
Charges laid against Webb
Following his arrest, Webb was held for court, and several charges have been approved in connection with the case. These charges include possession of stolen property over $5,000, operating a conveyance while prohibited, possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, driving while prohibited (x2), and driving while suspended.

While Webb remains in custody, pending further laboratory analysis, potential charges related to the seized drugs are still under consideration. These charges will be subject to approval by the appropriate Prosecution Service. Webb is set to appear in court for his next hearing, where the full extent of the legal proceedings will unfold.
