Tesky, who allegedly fled the scene after shooting a man in the leg at a home on North Seventh Street.

Details of the Incident
The incident was reported just before 2:30 a.m. on April 10, when a resident called 911 to report that his friend had been shot during a dispute with another man. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, while the firearm used in the shooting was recovered at the scene by police.
Suspect Description and Vehicle
Zach A. Tesky is described as being around 6 feet tall, weighing 179 pounds, and bald. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with white sleeves and jeans. Authorities believe he may be driving a silver 2003 Ford F150 truck with a Wisconsin disabled plate number 37843DS. The vehicle was last spotted heading northbound on Hwy. 47 near Rhinelander around 8:45 a.m.
Legal Troubles of the Suspect
Court records reveal that Tesky has a history of legal troubles, with five open felony cases in Marathon County alone. Charges filed in 2024 include bail jumping, battery, possessing an illegally obtained prescription, resisting or obstructing an officer, and forgery. Tesky, who lists a Merrill address in court records, also has pending cases in Lincoln County.
