**Fatal Car Crash Claims Life of West Allis Man in Caledonia**

In a tragic turn of events on Tuesday morning, a 36-year-old man from West Allis lost his life in a fatal car crash at the intersection of Highway 38 and Emmertsen Road in Caledonia. The incident, which took place around 8:45 a.m., resulted in the closure of traffic at the roundabout for several hours as emergency responders worked at the scene.
**Failure to Yield Leads to Tragic Outcome**
According to a press release from the Caledonia police Department, the man was travelling east on Highway 38 when another vehicle made a left turn in front of him, causing a collision. The impact caused the man’s car to roll over and hit a light pole before coming to a stop in an upright position. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, an 18-year-old Racine woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to Ascension for further medical attention.

**Investigation Underway**
The Caledonia Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and has not released the victim’s identity pending notification of the next of kin. Lieutenant Laehr is leading the inquiry and is urging any witnesses to come forward and provide information that may assist in the ongoing investigation. Witnesses can contact Lt.
