In a recent incident in Brockville, a man was arrested for impaired operation of a vehicle and other charges after being found asleep at the wheel. The police received a call about a man slumped over inside his vehicle with his head on the car horn in the Kyle Court area. When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man in the driver’s seat, believed to be passed out due to drug use. He was taken to the hospital for medical attention and was found to have fentanyl and cocaine in his vehicle. As a result, the police impounded his vehicle and charged him with various offenses.

Arrest Made in Intimate Partner Violence Call

Over the weekend, police arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his wife during an argument at their residence on Macodrum Drive. The couple had been arguing for hours, leading to the man allegedly shoving his wife, resulting in minor injuries. He was arrested for assault and held for a bail hearing.

Suspect in Multiple Thefts Arrested

A woman was arrested in connection with multiple thefts reported at the Dollar Tree and LCBO on Parkedale Avenue. The 37-year-old woman was identified as responsible for the thefts, including a previous incident at the LCBO. She was charged with theft under $5,000 and released with a future court date.

Another incident of intimate partner violence led to the arrest of a man for allegedly shoving his girlfriend into a mirror, causing it to shatter. The man also bit the woman’s thumb, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. He was charged with assault and held for a bail hearing.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after police were called to a home on Laurier Boulevard.
