A young woman named Tanushree Dutt, aged 24 and working at an interior designing firm in Gurgaon, met with a fatal accident on Monday. She hailed an Ola bike taxi on the Dwarka Expressway, only to be hit by an unidentified vehicle. The driver, Satendra Singh, also sustained injuries in the tragic incident that occurred at around 7 pm.

The Sequence of Events
Tanushree Dutt was picked up from Sector 49 and was en route to a residential society at AVL Sector 36A near the expressway where she lived with her uncle. According to Singh, the driver of the bike taxi, a speeding vehicle rear-ended them causing both of them to fall. Despite efforts to save her, Tanushree succumbed to her injuries upon reaching the hospital.
The Aftermath
The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident fled the scene, leaving Singh to report the incident to the authorities. The police are currently working on identifying the vehicle involved in the collision. Following the post-mortem examination, Tanushree’s body was handed over to her relatives for the final rites in Dehradun, her hometown.

Tanushree Dutt, a recent graduate from Chandigarh University, had moved to Gurgaon three months ago to pursue her career in interior designing. Her uncle, Yogesh Gairola, described her as a responsible individual who always kept her family informed of her whereabouts. The police have registered a case under sections 279, 337, 304A, and 427 of the Indian Penal Code at the Sector 37 police station. Investigations are ongoing to bring the culprits to justice and ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.
