In a bizarre turn of events in Steuben County, Indiana, a 31-year-old man from Georgia found himself in hot water after attempting to drown a K-9 officer during a foot pursuit on Monday afternoon. As the suspects attempted to flee into the nearby woods, deputies deployed K-9 units to track them down. The property owner, determined to assist law enforcement, chased the suspects in a utility terrain vehicle, aiding in the pursuit.

Despite warnings from the deputies that a K-9 would be released if they did not stop, the suspects continued to run. K-9 Klara was unleashed and eventually apprehended the female suspect, identified as 35-year-old Hollie Sue Richter. However, the male suspect, identified as Skyler Austin Robertson from Lookout Mountain, Georgia, continued to evade capture.

The situation took a dangerous turn when K-9 Klara caught up to Robertson as he descended into a large creek. In a shocking turn of events, Robertson allegedly grabbed the dog by the collar and attempted to drown her by forcing her head underwater. The brave K-9 managed to free herself from his grasp, but the ordeal was far from over.

Arrest and Charges
