A man from Georgia has been arrested and charged by officers from the Burlington police Department for the kidnapping of a 5-year-old child in the Triad area. The incident took place at the Knights Inn on 2155 Hanford Road, where officers responded to reports of a kidnapping on Sunday evening around 6:45 p.m. Fortunately, officers were in close proximity and managed to intercept the suspect’s vehicle on Hanford Road.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers discovered the 5-year-old child in the back seat. The child’s parent informed the officers that the suspect, identified as Israel Galbreath, had previously attempted to kidnap the child, but the incident was not reported at that time. Galbreath, aged 59, was a guest at the Knights Inn where the incident occurred.
Galbreath has been charged with two counts of second-degree kidnapping and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently being held at the Alamance County Detention Center without bond. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and additional charges may be brought against the suspect.
