According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash took place at around 10:35 a.m. when Echols’ 1999 Chevrolet Silverado veered off the road and collided with a culvert. The impact caused the vehicle to become airborne, flipping several times before coming to a stop.
Echols, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was partially ejected from the vehicle. Emergency services rushed him to Marshall Medical Center South, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
