Bounty of police Incidents Unfold in Clinton County

In the realm of law enforcement, the weekend of April 6, 2024, proved to be a busy one for the Woodward Township Police and Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) at Lamar as a string of incidents unfolded across Clinton County.
The first case that caught the attention of authorities was a domestic dispute at 127 Woodward Avenue. Louguens Hilaire, the alleged assailant, was accused of assaulting a 30-year-old female by striking her in the head and pushing her into a wall, causing lacerations and loss of consciousness. Hilaire fled the scene but later turned himself in on charges of Simple Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. District Judge Kibler set his bail at $15,000.00 unsecured.
Meanwhile, PSP Lamar responded to a tragic incident where a fisherman, James Michael Ray, was found unresponsive in Young Woman’s Creek in Chapman Township. Ray’s death was deemed accidental, as he was discovered submerged under water, partially underneath a downed tree. Despite efforts to revive him, Ray was pronounced dead by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office.
In Dunnstable Township, PSP Lamar troopers were called to investigate a case of criminal mischief at 273 Little Plum Run Road. Two vehicles, a 2024 Ford F350 and a 2023 General Motors vehicle, were scratched (keyed) at the residence. Anyone with information is urged to contact Trooper Bowers at the PSP Lamar Barracks.

The roads of Clinton County were also the scene of several motor vehicle accidents. In Greene Township, a driver lost control of a 2008 Lincoln MKZ on Rockey Road, striking an embankment after crossing into the westbound lane. In Porter Township, a 19-year-old male driver collided with a garage on Peach Orchard Road after losing control of his vehicle. Additionally, in Bald Eagle Township, a dispute between a driver and passenger led to a crash on SR 220, resulting in injuries to the driver.
Further incidents included a dog law violation in Greene Township, an alleged harassment incident in Mill Hall, and a case of theft in Gallagher Township that was ultimately deemed a civil matter. In Bald Eagle Township, a repeat offender was arrested for retail theft at Walmart, while in Castanea, DUI charges were filed following a collision on Paul Mack Boulevard.
Finally, in Grugan Township, a three-vehicle accident unfolded on the Renovo Road, culminating in a fiery crash involving a Ford Ranger. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incident resulted in damage to the vehicles involved.
The spate of incidents over the weekend underscores the importance of vigilance and prompt response by law enforcement agencies in ensuring public safety across Clinton County.
