The prosecution has rested its case after testimony concluded on Tuesday, April 9, in the trial of a 46-year-old Merrifield man accused of murdering his daughter’s boyfriend, Bryce Brogle. Michael Lee LaFlex is facing charges in relation to the October 2022 incident at a storage facility in Mission Township. LaFlex had previously pleaded not guilty to the crime.

Tamara Waters, who knew LaFlex through home renovations, testified that LaFlex spoke negatively about Brogle and made threatening comments if he ever hurt his daughter.
