Guna BJP Office-bearer and Another killed in Tragic Car Accident

In a devastating turn of events, a local office-bearer of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and another individual lost their lives after being struck by a car driven by a trainee pilot in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place late on Tuesday night on the main road near New City Colony under Kotwali police station limits.

Victims and Circumstances

The victims were identified as Anand Raghuvanshi, the district BJP secretary, and Kamlesh Yadav, the husband of the sarpanch of Mohanpur village. The two were waiting by the roadside on a scooter when the speeding car, driven by trainee pilot Saurabh Yadav, collided with them. Unfortunately, Yadav was killed on the spot, while Raghuvanshi succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to a hospital in Bhopal. Another individual, Manoj Dhakad, the president of the Sarpanch Sangh, was also injured in the accident and was referred to Indore for treatment.

Arrest of Suspects

Both Saurabh Yadav and his accompanying trainee pilot, Abhash, were arrested following the incident. The car they were driving was seized by the authorities. It was revealed that the two trainee pilots were undergoing training at a local aviation academy. The impact of the collision was so severe that the scooter the victims were on was completely destroyed.

Response from Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is contesting the upcoming election as a BJP candidate from the Guna Lok Sabha constituency, cancelled all his political engagements upon hearing about the tragic incident. Expressing his grief on social media, Scindia stated, “I received the heart-wrenching news of the sudden demise of two close members of my Guna family, Anand Raghuvanshi (Magrana) ji and Kamlesh Yadav ji in an unfortunate accident. I am sad. I am cancelling all my programmes today as a tribute to them. In this hour of distress, I stand firm with their families like a son.”
