The incident occurred in July 2021 at a residence on Glooscap Drive in Millbrook, where police discovered the lifeless body of a 42-year-old man, later identified as Douglas “Bert” Knockwood.

Charged with Second-Degree Murder
Valdo Pauyo, originally from Montreal, was charged in connection with Knockwood’s death, which was later determined to be a homicide. Pauyo is said to have fled Nova Scotia following the incident, prompting the issuance of a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest in December 2021.
