A manhunt is currently underway for Kenneth Eldridge Coats, a 49-year-old man from Godwin, in connection with the tragic deaths of Brian and Jennifer Vann last summer in Wade. The bodies of Brian and Jennifer Vann, both 48 years old, were discovered on August 5 in the 5600 block of Sambo Jackson Road in Wade. Initially thought to be overdoses, further investigation revealed that both victims had actually been shot.
