Arrest Made in Attempted Murder Case in Kochi

In a recent development in Kochi, Palarivattom police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder case. The arrested individual has been identified as N A Yusuf, also known as Vadival Yusuf, hailing from Elamakkara. The case dates back to February when the accused, along with an accomplice, tried to assault a man with an iron rod on February 11. The incident took place after a heated altercation at a roadside stall, which escalated into a violent confrontation. The accused fled the scene and went into hiding following the attack.

A special team, led by ACP Rajkumar under the supervision of DCP K S Sudarshan and Commissioner S Shyamsundar, was formed to track down the accused. The team included dedicated officers such as Sub-inspector Alby S Puthukatt, Josy, ASI Anil, SCPO Saneep, Ignatious, Mahesh, and Prashanth, who worked tirelessly to bring the perpetrator to justice.

Seizure of Contraband Leads to Arrest in Palakkad

In another incident, Palluruthy police arrested a Palakkad native in possession of 174.5kg of ganja seized from a car in April 2023. The arrested individual, identified as Muhammed, was apprehended from his hideout in Bengaluru. He was the seventh accused in the case, which had an estimated value of over Rs 50 lakh. The police commissioner directed the arrest of the suspect, leading to the successful apprehension of the perpetrator.
