Arrest Made in Connection to String of Shootings in Long Beach

A young boy was taken into custody by the Long Beach police Department following a series of shootings that have rocked the community. The arrest came after an early-morning incident that left a teenage boy hospitalized and three previous shootings linked to the same suspect.

Details of the Arrest

The boy, whose identity has not been disclosed due to his age, was apprehended after a shooting near Baltic Avenue and Burnett Street at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, sustained injuries to his lower body in the attack. This incident marked the third shooting attributed to the young suspect.

Law enforcement officials revealed that the same individual was also sought in connection to a non-fatal shooting that took place on February 27 in the same vicinity. Furthermore, the boy is suspected to have been involved in two additional shootings on Friday night before the teenage victim was wounded.
